My Holiness Blesses the World
In my holiness are all things blessed along with me

I want true happiness; I want the peace of God. But my false perception rigorously sustains my false identity as a vulnerable person in the world. And I remain trapped until I learn two things:
1) The truth that I am the Son of God, currently preferring to dream. This begins as an intellectual understanding, but right off it gives me a goal: to awaken. (Metaphysics of the Text)
2) How to change my way of perceiving so I can have the experience of being the Son of God. This is a miracle, which the Holy Spirit provides for me as I come to genuinely desire it. (Practical application of the Workbook)
The Course describes the process of changing perception many times. This discussion is based on Lesson 37, “My holiness blesses the world.”
The world’s way of thinking currently determines my way of seeing. My way of seeing “inevitably demands payment of someone or something.” 37.2 (!) Why is this? Because I see only a part, torn from the whole; I give it a name and a meaning; and I judge it relative to how it can meet my bodily needs.
This partial way of seeing is a sacrifice of wholeness, and this sacrifice is demanded every time I see something. My thoughts are very powerful. How can I use them to change this miserable way of perceiving?
“My mind is part of God’s. I am very holy.” 35 My mind is holy and my sight is holy as well. 36 And the truth is that everyone is entitled to everything because it is his birthright as a Son of God. 37.1 I must think about and come to understand this. I have everything to gain.
My brother’s wholeness is restored to his awareness through my vision. My holiness blesses him by asking nothing of him. Those who see themselves as whole make no demands. 37.2
My holiness is the salvation of the world. It lets me teach the world that it is one with me, not by preaching to it, not by telling it anything, but merely by my quiet recognition that in my holiness are all things blessed along with me. 37.3 Everyone I see in its light shares in the joy it brings to me. 58.2
My holiness blesses the world. This idea contains the first glimmerings of my true function in the world, or why I am here. My purpose is to see the world through my own holiness. 37.1
