There are only two purposes

The Purpose of Separation requires multiple choices in form.
It is never the forms that I am watching that upset me.
It is the thought that if things were different I would be better off.
This thought occurs because I am feeling incompletion and lack within.
I have forgotten my mistaken choice—the choice for separation (fear, guilt, death), for the ego thought system.
I think there is something to do, something to choose between.
I select images, make orders of objects and sequence events.
This is judgment, the making of my reality, the usurping of God, for which I feel guilt.
My beliefs are projected on the screen of the world and guilt is attributed to a doing or a not-doing.
But there are no real choices between specifics in form because all are unreal projections.
Each choice is based on the false premise that I am a person, the subject, the ego.
If I am feeling upset I am choosing separation, giving value to the ego, believing that the past is present.
The Purpose of Forgiveness is the choice to surrender to the Holy Spirit.
My only real choice is the purpose of forgiveness (peace, love, joy), the Holy Spirit’s purpose.
I still my mind and see that I am not the ego; that false beliefs and thoughts are producing unreal appearances.
It is all in the past; the entire cosmos is false.
I am completely detached and watch it without reaction.
The false is false. The past is gone.
Judgment is impossible where everything is meaningless and I know nothing.
I relinquish judgment.
I defer to the judgment of the Holy Spirit.
I ask the Holy Spirit for help discerning between the His thought system and the ego’s.
Real thoughts come from God.
I switch from being a dream figure to the dreamer.
Then awareness of what I am gently returns.
I am spirit. Only the truth is true and there is nothing to decide.
When I look from the perspective of spirit at the ego, then I am able to forgive.
I accept the correction of the error that was the ego.
To perceive differently is to perceive that form is false.
Then I experience peace and love.

Question: What is it for?
Answer #1: It has some function or explanation in the world.
Answer #2: It is a hallucination.
Reveals the Purpose I Have Given It
# 1: Its purpose is for me to believe that what I see is real, serving the ego’s purpose of separation. This demonstrates the “I know” or wrong mind that identifies with a person/body.
# 2: Its purpose is for me to use as a learning device to see the false as false, to recognize I am wrong about what I see, that it is a deceptive dream. This is the Holy Spirit’s purpose of forgiveness. This is the “I don’t know” or right mind that identifies with spirit.
Central Lesson: There is no world because it is a thought apart from God, and made to separate the Father and the Son. The world does not exist. All the living things upon it can not be there. No more can I. It is indeed my own imagining. I maintain the world within my mind in thought. To free the world from every kind of pain is but to change my mind about my self, and come to know my Self. There is no world apart from what I wish, and herein is my ultimate release. Change my mind on what I want to see and all the world must change accordingly. I who remain as God created me would release the world from all I thought it was. For I am real because the world is not, and I would know my own reality. W-132
The Holy Spirit has the task of undoing what the ego has made. T-5.III.5
The unification of purpose is the Holy Spirit’s only way of healing. The re-establishing of meaning in a chaotic thought system is the way to heal it. T-8.IX.9
Follow the Holy Spirit's teaching in forgiveness. Miracles are the sign of your willingness to follow the Holy Spirit's plan of salvation, recognizing that you do not understand what it is. T-9.IV.6
No one can escape from illusions unless he looks at them, for not looking is the way they are protected. We will undo this error quietly together, and then look beyond it to truth. T-11.V.1
We have repeatedly emphasized the need to recognize fear and face it without disguise as a crucial step in the undoing of the ego. T-12.I.8
By steadily and consistently cancelling out all its effects, everywhere and in all respects, the Holy Spirit teaches that the ego does not exist and proves it. T-17.III
