I Am Abstract Mind

I am one abstract mind created by God, at home in God, yet dreaming of exile.
I fell asleep and mistakenly believed I’d separated from God. In guilt and terror I split off a wrong mind that substituted illusion for truth. It made a self, a person with a private mind in a body, a needy mortal victim with specific roles in the dreaming of the world. I identify with this wrong-minded self, and I maintain the dream by perceiving differences, judging, and ordering my thoughts. I sought to replace the Love of God with a special relationship; and I think its loss would be a painful and cruel sacrifice.
To return to the Peace and Love of God, I need to remove the blocks to the awareness of Love’s presence. God placed the Holy Spirit in my right mind. In stillness I return to my mind and watch my thoughts:
* I look at the upsetting thoughts.
* I trace them back to my beliefs and see that they are false.
What I perceive are the false effects of a false cause, the wrong mind;
guilt projected from my wrong mind appears as images that I interpret.
* I remember that only my mind is causative; there is no causation in the world; it is an old film.
* I let go of the false images and beliefs and ask the Holy Spirit to help me shift my perception from fear to love, from illusion to truth.
* I receive miracles of changed perception.
* I stop judging, planning, and preferring and ask the Holy Spirit to guide all my thoughts.
* In stillness I pray and join with God, feeling His love for me, and His joy that I am His Son.
* I rest in thoughtless peace, allowing the Thoughts of God to come into my mind.
* I awaken in an instant. There was no separation. I am Christ.
And whenever I'm not sure what to think, I pull out and read from my list of key Workbook lessons. I'm peaceful and happy before I'm through.
1. Nothing I see… means anything.
5. I am never upset for the reason I think.
6. I am upset because I see something that is not there.
16. I have no neutral thoughts.
24. I do not perceive my own best interests.
34. I could see peace instead of this.
35. My mind is part of God's. I am very holy.
38. There is nothing my holiness cannot do.
45. God is the Mind with which I think.
46. God is the Love in which I forgive.
47. God is the strength in which I trust.
48. There is nothing to fear.
50. I am sustained by the Love of God.
62. Forgiveness is my function as the light of the world.
70. My salvation comes from me.
76. I am under no laws but God's.
80. Let me recognize my problems have been solved.
93. Light and peace and joy abide in me.
95. I am one Self, united with my Creator.
97. I am spirit.
101. God's Will for me is perfect happiness.
102. I share God's Will for happiness for me.
109. I rest in God.
121. Forgiveness is the key to happiness.
122. Forgiveness offers everything I want.
132. I loose the world from all I thought it was.
135. If I defend myself I am attacked.
139. I will accept Atonement for myself.
IV. My mind holds only what I think with God.
153. In my defenselessness my safety lies.
V. God is but Love, and therefore so am I.
190. I choose the joy of God instead of pain.
191. I am the holy Son of God Himself.
194. I place the future in the Hands of God.
VI. I am not a body. I am free, for I am still as God created me.
205. I want the peace of God. The Peace of God is everything I want. The peace of God is my one goal; the aim of all my living here, the end I seek, my one purpose and my function and my life, while I abide where I am not at home.
209. I feel the Love of God within me now. The Love of God is what created me. The Love of God is what I am. The Love of God proclaimed me as His Son. The Love of God within me sets me free.
pII.1. Forgiveness recognizes that what you thought your brother did to you has not occurred. Forgiveness merely sees its falsity, and therefore lets it go. Do nothing, then, and let forgiveness show you what to do, through Him Who is your Guide, your Savior and Protector, strong in hope, and certain of your ultimate success.
221. Peace to my mind. Let all my thoughts be still.
222. God is with me. I live and move in Him.
223. God is my life. I have no life but His.
224. God is my Father, and He loves His Son.
225. God is my Father, and His Son loves Him.
226. My home awaits me. I will hasten there.
227. This is my holy instant of release.
229. Love, which created me, is what I am.
230. Now will I seek and find the peace of God.
232. Be in my mind, my Father, through the day.
236. I rule my mind, which I alone must rule.
246. To love my Father is to love His Son.
252. The Son of God is my Identity.
254. Let every voice but God's be still in me.
256. God is the only goal I have today.
262. Let me perceive no differences today.
264. I am surrounded by the Love of God.
268. Let all things be exactly as they are.
269. My sight goes forth to look upon Christ's face.
273. The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
281. I can be hurt by nothing but my thoughts.
284. I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt.
286. The hush of Heaven holds my heart today.
290. My present happiness is all I see.
297. Forgiveness is the only gift I give.
303. The holy Christ is born in me today.
308. This instant is the only time there is.
309. I will not fear to look within today.
320. My Father gives all power unto me.
321. Father, my freedom is in You alone.
324. I merely follow, for I would not lead.
327. I need but call and You will answer me.
338. I am affected only by my thoughts.
pII.13. A miracle… merely looks on devastation, and reminds the mind that what it sees is false.
346. Today the peace of God envelops me,
And I forget all things except His Love.
pII.14. I am God's Son, complete and healed and whole, shining in the reflection of His Love. In me is His creation sanctified and guaranteed eternal life. In me is love perfected, fear impossible, and joy established without opposite. I am the holy home of God Himself. I am the Heaven where His Love resides. I am His holy Sinlessness Itself, for in my purity abides His Own.
365. This holy instant would I give to You.
Be You in charge. For I would follow You,
Certain that Your direction gives me peace.
And if I need a word to help me, He will give it to me. If I need a thought, that will He also give. And if I need but stillness and a tranquil, open mind, these are the gifts I will receive of Him. He is in charge by my request. And He will hear and answer me, because He speaks for God my Father and His holy Son.
