Escape from Fear
In two steps

Everything is in my mind. Dream figures are symbolic. My interpretations of my brother’s needs and motivations are my interpretation of my own. To interpret error with my ego mind is to give it power and to make the error real. So I don’t try to interpret my brother’s motivation. Nor do I attempt to “help” a brother in my way, for I cannot help myself.
The Holy Spirit’s interpretation of my brother’s motivation is the call for the Help of God. As I learn to recognize that, I learn to recognize my own need for the Father.
The Two Steps in the Escape from Fear
1) I recognize fear
2) I let the Holy Spirit translate fear into truth
If I do not protect my fear, the Holy Spirit will reinterpret it. With reason and practice I will learn that only attack produces fear. And that fear is a symptom of my own deep sense of the loss of love. Therefore the attack I perceive can only be a call for love.
If, when I perceive this call in others, I learn to supply the loss of love, the basic cause of fear is removed. By removing fear in others, I teach myself that fear does not exist in me. I have denied the power of fear to conceal love by giving it.
Fear is the appeal for love. Every appeal I answer in the Name of Christ brings the remembrance of my Father closer to my awareness. T-12.
